Our Experienced Team
Opened in 1990 by Peter Davies and Ruth Jenkins, The Dovetail Joint started as a small, dark workshop along the South Circular in Forest Hill. Six years later, having outgrown the space, the business moved into new modern premises. Staying within Forest Hill, our workshop is light and airy with ample space for modern machinery and dust extraction.
In 1998 the original partnership became incorporated as a limited company, with owners Peter and Ruth continuing to run and own the business.

Mark McCann
Having worked for us for 24 years, Mark completed his City and Guilds training at the London and Metropolitan University in 2006.
Andrew Hughes
Coming to us straight from school 23 years ago, Andrew also successfully completed his City and Guilds training in 2006 at the London and Metropolitan University focusing on cabinet making.
Lori Winters
Coming to work with us in 2005 to gain work experience, Lori became a full-time member of the team. Lori has completed official training and has completed a work placement at the Southwark Habitat for Humanity in Nunhead, South East London.
